DID YOU KNOW?

Burbank Public Library has all sorts of stuff just for teens, including books, media, and programs! Ask your librarians to show you our special sections for...

  • Teen Fiction (hardcover and paperback)--mystery, adventure, romance, horror...
  • Manga series and Graphic Novels
  • Young Adult Paperback Classics (most frequently read classics of literature for school assignments, in lightweight paperback form!)
  • Teen Magazines

In the general collection, we have:

  • Nonfiction for teens, interfiled with adult nonfiction but marked with a "YA" sticker (for "young adult")
  • CDs, DVDs, and books on CD in the Audio Visual department

And from our WEBSITE:

  • Electronic databases containing magazine and newspaper articles for your research papers
  • HelpNow! online tutors to help you with your homework
  • Our catalog, where you can search for EVERYTHING you'd like to check out from our library!
  • Our teen blog, where you can find book reviews and recommendations, learn about activities for teens at the library, participate in surveys, and MORE!

Programs

There are many teen programs throughout the year--a teen summer reading program, book clubs, author visits, special events, and educational programs. Click on Teen Programs for more information.

Reading Lists

stack of books

In our libraries and on our website (through our catalog), we have reading lists for teens, from "Skinny Classics" and "Outstanding Books for the College Bound" to "Fairy Tales Retold" and "Edgy Titles for Mature Teens." You can access these lists here . Or, if you just want to browse the newest titles for teens, click here and then choose "New Young Adult Books."
