How To RENEW Items


Library materials that were checked out for 21 days may be renewed once for an additional 21 days.  If the item was checked out for 7 days, it may be renewed for an additional 7 days.


Items may be renewed in person at any Burbank Library at the circulation desk, over the phone  or online. If calling, please have your library card and the barcode numbers of the items you wish to renew handy when you call. Click here for library hours and telephone numbers.


Renewing online is easy through our Library iBistro Catalog.  You will need your library card and your PIN number, available from the Circulation Department.

  • Select "My Account," then select "Renew My Materials"

  • Type in your user ID (library card number without spaces) and PIN

  • Select "List Charged Items" and select items to be renewed

Please note that if the item has a "Hold", the system will not allow you to renew. You may only renew an item one time.


How to RESERVE an item



  • Find the item in the iBistro catalog and go to the "Full Details" page

  • Click on the "Hold" symbol in the upper right corner

  • Type in your user ID and PIN

  • Select "Place Hold"

  • Holds may not be placed upon Rental DVDs. 

  • Only adults (18 years and older) may check out videos and DVDs.

  • If you encounter any difficulties when placing a Hold, please contact the Reference Desk at any branch of the Burbank Public Library.

How to RETURN Items


Items may be returned to any Burbank Public Library Branch either inside at the circulation desk or, when we're closed, in the curbside drop bins.
