Readers' Theater Production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

crossed fingersOscar Wilde’s play is a satirical and very funny catalogue of mistaken identities, secret engagements, and lovers’ entanglements that was the perfect choice to match the teen summer reading program’s theme, “Beneath the Surface.” Readers’ Theater is exactly what the name implies: a theatrical reading, with full character expression but without elaborate staging. This is our fifth readers’ theater production featuring Burbank teens; we hope you will join us for a wonderfully comical and literary evening! All are welcome.

TWO DATES! TWO CASTS! Our troupe of a dozen will trade major and minor roles between performances to keep things interesting. Refreshments will be served at intermission, and there are prize drawings for all teens in attendance at Teen Summer Reading programs.
